First Lady Debra A. Pierce is well known for her cheerful spirit and her willingness to worship. She is a leader who knows that the true meaning of living a righteous life is to seek God not just through your prayer life or praise, but also with worship.
She is the First Lady of Mount Zion Baptist Church of Greensboro, Inc. and works diligently in the service of the Lord with her husband, Bishop Bryan J. Pierce, Sr., Senior Pastor. She is also the mother of four children, Bryan, Jr., Brandon, Bryana and Devin.
First Lady Pierce was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. Her parents taught her as a child to become and remain the Woman of God she is today.
Aside from her singing ministry, she served as First Lady at Bethel Baptist Church Ministries in Kannapolis, NC before God called her to serve with her husband at Mount Zion.
She is a licensed minister of the Gospel who enjoys spreading the good news of Jesus Christ through teaching. Her daily goal is always to impact, invest and make a difference in the lives of God’s people.
Being given the mandate to empower women for God, First Lady Pierce founded the Women of Virtue Ministry at Bethel Baptist Church, which ministers to the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of women in the body of Christ. She believes that in order to serve God, we must also learn to become transparent and willing servants to one another.
She also believes that worship is real when you have a true relationship with Christ and it becomes your top priority because you can’t come before the King and not offer a gift!
First Lady Pierce is thankful to God for everyone who has been a blessing in her life, but she is mostly grateful to God for placing her in a position to be a helpmeet to a wonderful man of God, Bishop Bryan J. Pierce, Sr. She accredits him for being a wonderful example, great mentor, awesome teacher and an excellent leader. Under his tutelage, she has learned so many life-changing lessons, but most importantly, she has learned how to walk in the will of God and to accept the plans He has for her. First Lady Pierce and Bishop Bryan J. Pierce, Sr. are the proud parents of 4 children and 4 grandchildren.
First Lady Pierce is a firm believer that you should walk worthy, walk in unity and most importantly, “Walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us . . . .” (Ephesians 5:2a)
