Cell Groups
Cell groups aren't simply another name for a Bible study, fellowship group or Sunday school class. They are a group of believers who have banded together for a season in life to reach the lost, minister to the hurting and each other, and discover their leadership potential. Sure, cell groups study the Word, but they do so in order to live out what they read and use it effectively to penetrate a dark world with the light of Jesus Christ . . . which is quite different from studying a passage each week for general knowledge. Cell groups also have lots of fun together . . . but this fellowship is specialized in that it usually exposes unbelievers to a group of fun, Jesus-loving people. In other words, cell groups even use fellowship as an evangelistic tool!

Crown Small Group Study
The Crown Small Group Study, a division of School of Discipleship, is a 10-week, in-depth study of what scripture teaches about money and possessions. Graduates have confirmed that marriages are being strengthened and individuals are finding their way out of debt. They are also becoming consistent savers, generous givers, and prudent consumers. Most importantly, people are entering into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ as they learn to apply His Word. Groups meet for 2 hours every week and include scripture memorization and interactive discussions.
Students must register
one month prior to participating because there is homework prior to

Disciple Study Group
A Disciple Study Group, a division of School of Discipleship, is composed of up to twelve students and one leader. The 32-34 week study sessions are structured and intensive in nature. The weekly meetings are 2 ½ hours long and participants are required to read and study 30-minute lessons daily. Daily Bible reading and journaling are an important part of the study. At the weekly meetings questions are explored that are designed to stimulate group discussion. The primary goal of the study is TRANSFORMATION not just INFORMATION. Each student is afforded the opportunity to understand what their service to God should be and to pursue that service through various ministry opportunities available at Mount Zion. In addition, the material covered can be used to confirm what you know and provide confidence to an individual sharing the Gospel with others.
Weekly meeting format:
- Prayer and short introduction of lesson topic
- View video about that specific subject matter
- Discussion
- Break
- Small group sessions to discuss an aspect of the lesson
- Closing Prayer (and specific requests)
