Men's Conference 2010
Men, are you looking for your breakthrough? Then join us at the Men’s Conference 2010.Mount Zion, Calvary Christian Center and World Vision International Christian Center will be sponsoring Men’s Conference 2010. The event will be held November 12-14 at Lifeway Ridgecrest Conference Center in Ridgecrest, NC. There will be dynamic teachings, praise, worship, and fellowship along with fun recreational activities. Men are key to strengthening the church. But they must be cultivated and developed to become the servant leaders God intends them to be. This Conference will help men find their place of service while preparing them for ministry and missions. A registration of $154 will cover your deluxe hotel accommodations and buffet-style meals. You may pay your registration in full or in four easy payments (see schedule below). Payments are being accepted in the Chapel foyer (after 7:30 am service) and the Atrium (after 10:00 am service). One Million Books
One Million Books is a GCS literacy campaign aimed at increasing the reading proficiency of students by tackling the challenge of reading one million books. This new initiative from Superintendent Mo Green, encourages each student to read 14 individuals short stories, novels and/or autobiographies in relation to his or her grade level within one year. Mount Zion Baptist Church has partnered with GCS to insure we do our part in the community to support the educational advancement of our children.

August Family Fellowship Picnic
Please save the date and plan to attend our annual Family Fellowship Picnic on Saturday, August 28 from 11-3pm at City Lake Park in Jamestown, NC. You will have access to the paddle boats, train, carousel and basketball court at no additional charge. Please register and assist us in making preparations for your arrival. You may register following either bible study or worship service. Registration is also available online. NOTE: THIS REGISTRATION SERVES ONLY AS A HEADCOUNT FOR FOOD PURPOSES ONLY. The first 1,000 to ARRIVE at the park will enter for FREE. Thereafter, the cost will be $4 per person. Admission fees will be paid directly to park officials prior to entry.
Kidz Blitz LIVE - Sunday, August 29
Kidz Blitz LIVE…is coming on August 29 during the 10am worship service. Join us for this uplifting, faith-based family event. This fast-paced action and Super Bowl excitement, Kidz Blitz LIVE targets the elementary age kids while engaging people of all ages. With a message of Christ woven into the action, kids learn TRUTH while they have fun. This event is free and open to the public. Come and bring three friends. NOTE: This will be a casual Sunday. 2010 Fall Fashion Show Extravaganza
Mark your calendar and attend the 2010 Fall Fashion Show Extravaganza on Saturday, September 18 at 5 pm in the Chapel. The event is sponsored by Belk at Friendly Shopping Center and Songbirds' Consignment. Advance tickets are $10 per person. Hors d'oeuvres will be served. Registration begins Sunday, August 1 after 10 am service in the Atrium. Deadline to register is Sunday, August 29. We will also be accepting gently used clothes that will be donated to a homeless shelter.
