Since early childhood, Lady Brooks has had a unique walk and experience with God. She has grown to love Him with her whole body, soul, and spirit. Having been healed by God at an early age of a brain tumor, First Lady believes in the miraculous power of God.
For the
past 33 years, First Lady has ministered to numerous adults and
young people through teaching, counseling, and leading people
to Christ with her husband who is the Senior Pastor of Mount Zion
Baptist Church in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Lady Brooks desire
to see men and women prosper in their spiritual growth has led
her to teach, inspire, uplift and encourage others through Sista2Sista, Word on Wednesday and other
Bible studies. Lady Brooks and her husband empower couples through marriage seminars and conferences. She spends many
hours counseling and providing assistance to those in need in
the church as well as to those in the community. In addtion, Lady Brooks speakes at conferences, revivals and other services where she boldly proclaims the Gospel. She is quoted as saying, "The Word works when you work the Word." |
First Lady
received her Bachelor of Arts degree from North Carolina A&T
State University and a Master of Religious Arts in Christian Psychology
from Jacksonville Theological Seminary. She has attended
numerous seminars and conferences, which has aided in her personal
spiritual growth. She served as the previous Director of Encouragement at Mount Zion Baptist Church, overseeing (18) eighteen ministries including Senior Missionaries, Helping Hands (emergency assistance) Daughters of Destiny, Men of Valor, Partners for Life (marriage ministry), Biblical Counseling, Couples of Hope (lay counseling ministry), Redeemed, Set Free (post-abortion ministry), CanCare (cancer support ministry), and Ministry of Helps (volunteer ministry).
First Lady
Brooks is the dedicated wife of Bishop George W. Brooks and mother
of Kevin (Kim) and Keva (Calvin). She has five grandchildren (Kaleb, Keyon, Kiandra, Jocelyn, and Gavin).
