One Million Books is a GCS literacy campaign aimed at increasing the reading proficiency of students by tackling the challenge of reading one million books. This new initiative from Superintendent Mo Green, encourages each student to read 14 individuals short stories, novels and/or autobiographies in relation to his or her grade level within one year.
Mount Zion Baptist Church has partnered with GCS to insure we do our part in the community to support the educational advancement of our children.
