Family we are excited to be in partnership with The American Heart Association and the Hampton Home Mobile Kitchen. Come join us each Monday for Family Cooking Workshops. Come learn from a trained chef on how you and your family can increase your healthy eating profile and still enjoy the historic recipes that you all have enjoyed for years! Do you sing? Do you Mime? Do you praise dance? Do you write poetry? Join the Young and Dangerous team on Friday, October 26th, 2018 at 7pm in The Chapel for Conversation Café, a night of fellowship, and worship through the arts. On Saturday, October 27, Feed the Hunger & Mount Zion are partnering for another Pack-A-Thon in the Fellowship Hall from 8:30am-12:00pm. A Pack-a-thon is a food packing event in which participants produce thousands of nutritious meals that will be distributed to children and families in need, both in America and internationally.Find out more »
The Biblical Counseling Ministry in conjunction with the Social and Emotional Learning Group is offering “After the Storm,” consisting of educational and group sessions regarding the effects of the recent tornado disaster and other challenging storms of life. These sessions will cover ongoing challenges, developing coping skills, educational information, and referral resources. The first event will be held October 27, 2018, with a follow-up event on November 10, 2018. After the Storm will begin at 10am and end at 12pm; in room 210. Join us! Vote with your Mount Zion Baptist Church family following worship on Sunday, October 28th. Polls will be open from 12:00 pm to 5pm. You can get a list of the early voting sites in the lobby of the Sanctuary. If you have not registered to vote, you can register and vote at the same time at any early voting site with proof of your residential address. (Acceptable proof include a NC driver license or other valid ID, or a current utility bill, bank statement or a document from any government agency with your name and address) Not only do you get the chance to vote with people of faith, but you can also celebrate with them on October 28th. There will be a Pizza Celebration from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm a Mount Zion Baptist Church to celebrate the statewide “Souls to the Polls.” (This event is sponsored by the Civic Engagement Kingdom Group of Mount Zion Baptist Church. The next new members orientation will be Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 9:00 am to Noon in the Chapel. Registration and continental breakfast will begin at 8:30 am.
